Solid Carbon Nano Rods are similar in outward appearance to carbon
nanotubes. They have similar chemical, physical, electrical, and thermal
properties to CNTs. As a result of their growth process, however, no residual
transition metal catalyst is present in the final product - only a trace amounts of
inert ceramics (Al2O3, SiO2, SiO, etc).
Like CNTs, SCNRs have myriad of applications, including:
